13. Amari Williams

Williams is a 6’10 forward originally from England who came to the United States in 2020, launching his college career at Drexel. He’d play a very minimal role to begin his career, but has developing into a major frontcourt weapon for the Dragons in the last few seasons.

After seeing only a few minutes and scoring just 16 points as a freshman, Williams carved out a more important role as a sophomore, making it into the starting lineup and notching several double-doubles by the end of the season. He established himself as a great rim blocker and put up good numbers this past season, averaging 13.7 points, 8.8 rebounds, and 2.2 blocks per game, with numerous fine performances in another decent year for the Dragons.

Williams was named CAA Defensive Player of the Year each of the last two seasons. He also earned First Team All-CAA honors as a junior and is establishing himself as a great frontcourt weapon in both aspects of the game. His defensive metrics have been literally off the charts, actually leading the entire nation in one such metric during his junior year. Additionally, Williams returns next season for his senior year and a chance to have an even greater impact for Drexel, hoping to get back into the Big Dance again.
