1. Kentucky Wildcats

As soon as Mgbako left Duke this offseason, it was sealed that Kentucky was going to be No. 1 on this list. And that was before the team added a pair of three-star commits in sharpshooter Joey Hart and Jordan Burks, a 6’7 wing that averaged over 27 ppg at Overtime Elite this past season.

There are five other freshmen, all ranked inside the top 30 overall. In the backcourt, you have a pair of five-star guards in Robert Dillingham and D.J. Wagner. Both are elite scorers and athletes overall but tend to be ball-dominant at times. And then there’s Reed Sheppard, a quality shooter that can also be a ball-handler as well.

Justin Edwards is ranked the highest of anyone on this list, a top-5 overall wing, listed at 6’7. He’s a tremendous athlete that can get the basket with ease and can play both forward positions. Plus, Aaron Bradshaw is a 7’0 big man that has elite offensive skills, capable of moving out to the three-point line.

Besides having the most incoming freshmen overall, the Wildcats are also going to have the most starters, likely as many as three. While veterans Antonio Reeves and Tre Mitchell are going to have the leading roles on this team, how far they advance in the NCAA Tournament will depend on the No. 1 incoming recruiting class.
