3. Sincere Carry
Carry is a 6’1 point guard from Solon, Ohio who had himself an extremely productive collegiate career. The action for him started in the A-10, as he spent his first three years running the point at Duquesne. Near the beginning of his junior year with the Dukes, he decided to transfer and found a new home at Kent State. His final two years were spent leading the Golden Flashes and making a significant impression.
In his first season with the Golden Flashes, Carry averaged 17.9 points and 4.8 assists per game, with decent offensive production from all over the court. He took on a major role in Rob Senderoff’s system and led Kent State to the MAC regular season title. This past year, Carry took the Golden Flashes even farther, putting up similar numbers before leading the program to the NCAA Tournament. Carry had 35 points on senior night against Akron and was dynamic in the MAC Tournament, including 26 points in the title game over Toledo.
Carry was named First Team All-MAC and All-Defense for both of those seasons with the Golden Flashes. Additionally, he was MAC Player of the Year for that explosive first year and was named Tournament MVP to end things off. Not only was he a dynamic scorer, he was tops in the league in assists and really did a fantastic job running this offensive attack and contributing at a major level on defense too.
