Ryan Langborg -6’4 Guard/Wing – Northwestern Wildcats

Ryan Langborg joins the Northwestern Wildcats in the Big Ten as a graduate transfer after spending the past three seasons in the Ivy League with the Princeton Tigers. He’s a sizeable guard at 6-foot-4, 186 pounds that’s capable of impacting the game in a variety of ways as presence in the backcourt and on the wing. He took the nation by storm this past season as a presence in the NCAA Tournament.

He was a top 10 finisher in the Ivy League this past season in 3-pointers made (66) and total points scored (407) this past season while producing 12.7 ppg, 3.1 rpg and 1.6 apg on 33.2 percent shooting from the perimeter and 42.3 percent from the field.

Langborg developed into quite the presence in the rotation, posting 9.9 ppg, 2.9 rpg and 1.4 apg while knocking down 1.9 3-pointers per contest on 36.3 percent from 3-point land across 81 appearances with Princeton.

He finished with 18.7 ppg, 3.7 rpg and 2.0 apg on 48.9 percent from the filed and 32 percent from deep across three games in the 2023 NCAA Tournament. He turned things up in the second and third round of action as he finished with 22 points, six rebounds and four assists against Missouri then followed that up with an 11-of-17 outing for 26 points, three rebounds and two steals while knocking down another four 3-pointers.

He’ll give them another perimeter shooting threat to take pressure off Boo Buie and give him another player to make plays with. Buie led the Wildcats this past season in the playmaking department with 4.5 assists per contest. Langborg should give Northwestern another spark in the rotation as they look to take the Big Ten by storm once again in 2023-24.
