17. Raasean Davis

A 6’8 center from Chicago, Davis found his way to Kent State to begin his career back in 2014, but stayed just two years with the Golden Flashes and barely saw any court time. After sitting out as a transfer, he became a much more focal piece as an upperclassman at North Carolina Central, winning a pair of MEAC titles with those Eagles.

In Davis’s junior season, he wasted no time, averaging 15.1 points and 8.1 rebounds. Despite a 6th place finish in league play, North Carolina Central would win the MEAC Tournament, getting a 16-point, 20-rebound effort from Davis in the quarterfinals. As a senior, Davis was up to 14.8 points and 9.1 rebounds a game, leading the Eagles to another MEAC Tournament, this time after a 3rd place finish. He’d finish his career with 20 points and 16 rebounds against North Dakota State in the First Four in 2019.

Davis was Second Team All-MEAC as a junior and First Team as a senior, certainly earning those honors as a dynamic frontcourt weapon. He led the MEAC in field goal percentage in both seasons and was one of the top scorers and rebounders. Overall, he was an impressive presence down low for a North Carolina Central team that got the job done in March.
