16. Nendah Tarke

There wasn’t a ton of greatness at Coppin State in recent years, but Tarke has been a major bright spot these last three seasons. A 6’4 wing from Gaithersburg, Maryland, he’s put up very decent numbers under head coach Jamie Dixon these last three seasons, and his collegiate career isn’t quite finished yet.

Coppin State’s best performance was during Tarke’s freshman season, where he averaged 9.9 points and 4.9 rebounds per game including excellent interior shooting numbers. While the program struggled moving forward, Tarke still had good production, averaging 13.3 points and 6.8 rebounds as a sophomore and comparable numbers the next season. Among the highlights was a 10-point, 14-rebound, 8-assists, 6-stal effort against Maryland-Eastern Shore during his sophomore year.

Tarke was actually named All-MEAC in each of those three seasons, getting Rookie of the Year honors as a freshman and the First Team nod as a sophomore. He actually led the entire nation with his 2.9 steals per game during that sophomore season and made a pair of appearances on the league’s All-Defense squad. Also the MEAC’s top defensive rebounder, Tarke is a high quality player on both sides of the ball who is still looking for his next school for next year.
