17. Bryce Hamilton

A 6’4 wing from Pasadena, California, Hamilton was actually considered a Top 100 prospect with the class of 2018. He would be recruited to UNLV by Marvin Menzies but would play for three different head coaches across four seasons with the Rebels. Despite that unevenness, Hamilton developed into a significant piece for the Rebels, especially on the offensive end.

After showing potential off the bench as a freshman, he dove in as a sophomore, averaging 16.0 points and 5.5 rebounds during TJ Otzelberger’s first season as head coach. That season ended with a 2nd place finish in the MWC. Hamilton’s contributions would continue to increase. By his senior season, he was up to 21.8 points per game in a solid year for UNLV, including a 42-point effort at Colorado State.

Hamilton earned All-MWC honors in his last three years, nabbing the First Team honor as a sophomore and as a senior. That final year saw him finish 9th in the nation in total points which decent offensive metrics and shooting numbers. UNLV wasn’t exactly making national headlines during his four seasons on campus, but Hamilton lived up to his high school billing and was a major part of success under three head coaches, including that senior year with Kevin Kruger, the current coach.
