9. Marvelle Harris

A 6’4 point guard from Rialto, California, Harris arrived at Fresno State back in 2012. He was among the names on current Texas head coach Rodney Terry’s first recruiting class with the Bulldogs. Harris would develop into an impactful weapon on both sides of the ball at Fresno State and really shined by his senior season.

He took a sophomore leap, nearly doubling his scoring output before averaging 16.4 points and 3.8 assists per game as a junior. The Fresno State program was also taking small steps forward, but both Harris and the Bulldogs really shined in 2016. As a senior, he averaged 20.7 points and 4.5 assists per game, taking Fresno State to the NCAA Tournament after winning the MWC Tournament. His career would end at the hands of Utah in the Big Dance, though he would score 24 points in that effort.

During both his junior and senior years, Harris was named First Team All-MWC and All-Defense in the league. He led the MWC in steals as a junior and assists as a senior, also claiming MWC Tournament MVP honors for an incredible ending to the season. Harris had developed not only into a great ball distributor and point guard, but into one of the league’s best total offensive players. That run in 2016 also remains Fresno State’s most recent trip to the Big Dance.
