18. Jamaal King

Saint Francis (PA) has had their share of ups and downs over the years, but head coach Rob Krimmel’s program was in pretty good shape when Jamaal King was in the rotation. He’s a 5’10 point guard from Salisbury, Maryland who arrived back in 2015. King would be the full-time starter at the point for his final three seasons, putting up impressive offensive numbers in some quality seasons for the Red Flash program.

After being a bench piece as a freshman, he put up good numbers as a sophomore, averaging 12.0 points and 3.9 assists per game once given the chance as a starter. During his junior year, he helped lead St. Francis to 2nd place in the NEC while putting up 18.2 points per game, including a career-high 31 points against Mount St. Mary’s. He played in the CIT in consecutive seasons before helping lead the Red Flash to a regular season title and NIT appearance as a senior.

King’s numbers across the board were pretty impressive, ranking among the NEC’s top scorers and leaders in assists and steals. He was given First Team All-NEC for both of his upperclassmen seasons and played an important role at the point in this offense. While this program has struggled the last few seasons, the Red Flash were humming back when King was in the program, making shots and running a competitive offense.
