Shooting Guard

Starter – Trey Alexander (32 mpg)

Trey Alexander returns for Creighton looking to pick up where he left off in 2022-23. He was quite the breakout player in their rotation this past season with 13.6 ppg, 4.2 rpg, 2.6 apg and 1.1 spg on 41 percent shooting from deep. He’s emerged as quite the two-way presence for them with his length at 6-foot-4.

He poured in a career-high 32 points on Dec. 25 this past season against DePaul on 11-o-f16 shooting from the field and 7-of-12 shooting from deep. With Nembhard gone, his Big East experience should do him well to power his squad when he’s on the floor. He’s shown he’s capable of making the right play at the shooting guard role as he enters Year 3 in the Big East.

Bench – Francisco Farabello (6 mpg), Sterling Knox (2 mpg)

Francisco Farabello and Sterling Knox are two names that come to mind at the backup shooting guard role. Farabello certainly holds the edge given he’s a senior while Knox is just a freshman. Farabello should split the guard duties this season given his experience and holds potential as their Sixth Man. At 6-foot-4, 200 pounds, Knox holds potential when it comes to being a potential versatile replacement.
