Expectations for Brandon Noel in 2023-24

The Raiders may not always be picked to win the league, but they are always going to be a threat to win the league and no one who follows the league would be surprised by any of it. Coach Nagy has built the Wright State program into a powerhouse in the Horizon League. Wright State is never short on talent and they always consistently have an all-conference level player. To take that a step further, they always seem to have a player or players who make their way into the Horizon League player of the year discussions.

Unfortunately for Noel, the biggest favorite for the Horizon League Player of the Year is his own teammate Tanner Holden. In all honesty, the top two favorites for the League Player of the Year are his teammates, the other being Trey Calvin. Wright State is loaded this year with Noel in the middle the Raiders have three legitimate scoring options this season. Noel should find himself on the all-conference list after next season. We all know he is going to shoot a high percentage from the floor, rebound, and play fantastic defense. If Noel stays at Wright State for the long haul there will be a player of the year in his future.

Coach Nagy was able to win the transfer portal when he was able to retain two of the best Raiders to ever wear the uniform in Trey Calvin and Tanner Holden. Those two players are going to be a huge reason that Wright State is going to be one of the favorites to win the Horizon League. They have a chance to have three players with over a 20 points-per-game average.

Noel is one of them and when the three-headed monster for Wright State gets going it puts a lot of pressure on the opponents to play very well. Noel is going to turn into a star this year and hopefully, we all get to see him in the NCAA tournament.
