Power forward

Starter: Cam’Ron Fletcher (20 mpg)

In just 10 games, Fletcher showed that he was the Seminoles’ best rebounder last season, but a knee injury in December kept him out the rest of the way. Not surprisingly, Florida State was uncharacteristically dominated on the boards, finishing near the bottom of the country in offensive rebounds allowed.

Reports indicate that he will be ready for the season opener, but Leonard Hamilton may ease the senior in until he is fully comfortable. Fletcher’s physicality is sorely needed on a team that no longer has Matthew Cleveland’s defense, and it will be up to him to help return the Seminoles to the fearsome defensive unit they were for so long.

Reserve: Baba Miller (14 mpg), Taylor Bowen (6 mpg)

Spanish forward Baba Miller is one of the most intriguing players on this team. At 6’11”, he’s the tallest regular on Florida State’s roster, but he has more of a guard’s skillset, minus the outside shooting.

Miller’s quickness for his size gives Leonard Hamilton the versatility he craves on defense, and if he can improve his shot, he could even start at some point this year.

Bowen will get more minutes as a small forward, but he can also play a stretch four when Florida State wants to go super athletic.
