Center

Starter: Cam Corhen (24 mpg)

Corhen is a 6’10” big that is skilled at finishing around the rim, but he also possesses the athleticism to handle the ball and run in the open court. He’ll be a frequent beneficiary of lobs from Primo Spears, and he even dabbled a little bit with his 3-point shot as a freshman.

Corhen shot over 60% from two last year, and it wouldn’t be a surprise to see him make a jump as a sophomore.

Reserve: Jaylan Gainey (16 mpg)

Like Fletcher, Gainey is returning after a knee injury, though his sidelined him for the entire 2023-24 season. The former Brown transfer is yet another addition that should improve the Seminoles’ defense, as he is an excellent shot blocker and defensive rebounder.

Gainey is a traditional big man, spending nearly all of his time in the post. He gets high-percentage looks, and he shot 70% from the field in his three years in the Ivy League. If he is fully healthy, he could fill an important role on this team.

The Seminoles will enter the year with an experienced point guard and a host of rangy, athletic big men. Will it be enough to get back to the tournament? Time will tell, but Florida State should be much more competitive on a nightly basis in the ACC with this group.
