2. Dec. 1 AT Kansas (Big East-Big 12 Battle)

Before the aforementioned UNC game UConn has to deal with the juggernaut that is the Kansas Jayhawks. And while this team will not have Gradey Dick with him being drafted last year, this squad still has a ton of talent as always.

Going out to Kansas at Allen Fieldhouse is a tall task for any team, and UConn will have to find a way to drown out the noise that place brings on a game-to-game basis.

Kansas gets a tougher Big East draw as they pummeled Seton Hall last season, but with two recent National Championship winners, this should be a matchup for the ages. UConn will be coming off two what should be easy games against Manhattan and New Hampshire, so having those opponents before the big one in Kansas should help them out here.

Winning this matchup would set up either team’s resume for the rest of the season assuming they handle a good bit of their conference schedules. But the Huskies could take this win and keep themselves within the top ten heading into a very tough matchup out west, and a huge momentum boost as they get closer to Big East play.

However, if they do indeed lose this game, there is another, potentially even bigger matchup as the final game of their nonconference slate.
