10. Kevin Obanor

Obanor is a 6’8 forward from Houston who played a major role in the success at Oral Roberts. He was an initial recruit of Paul Mills and joined the Golden Eagles back in 2018. A major playmaker for the program, Obanor would spend his next three seasons in the Summit League, culminating in Oral Roberts’s historical success in 2021.

Though not a starter until February, Obanor averaged 14.4 points and 7.2 rebounds a game as a freshman, with impressive shooting numbers. After another decent performance as a sophomore, his junior year would become the one to remember. He’d average 18.7 points and 9.6 rebounds per game while hitting 46% of his 3-pointers. Most importantly, he’d help lead the Golden Eagles first to a surprise Summit League Tournament title and then to the Sweet Sixteen of the 2021 NCAA Tournament. Obanor was a major part of 15-seed Oral Roberts, with 30 points against Ohio State and 28 versus Florida in their two upset wins.

As a freshman, Obanor was Summit League Rookie of the Year and Sixth Man of the Year, though that third year was clearly the standout season. Not only did he earn First Team All-Summit honors as the league’s top rebounder, but he helped carry the program to a historic postseason run; not to mention two heroic performances along the way. Obanor parlayed that success and spent his final two years of eligibility at Texas Tech, though his best numbers came with the Golden Eagles.
