Virginia Basketball: Projected starting lineup and depth chart for 2023-24 season
Center
Starter – Jordan Minor (30 mpg)
Jordan Minor is a two-way big man joining the UVA frontcourt looking to really turn the tide this upcoming season. Minor joins with quite the resume out of Merrimack in the NEC where he won the Player of the Year award and Defensive Player of the Year award this past. He finished the year with 17.4 ppg, 9.4 rpg, 2.6 bpg, 2.3 apg and 1.4 spg on 51.5 percent shooting from the field as Merrimack went 12-4 in the conference and won both the regular season and conference tournament title.
He joins the Cavaliers hungry to prove himself in more ways than one as a paint threat on both ends of the floor. He looks to close out his career with a NCAA Tournament appearance or two under his belt.
Bench – Anthony Robinson (10 mpg)
Anthony Robinson is another freshman who should see some early playing time to prove himself in the painted area. He’s out of Christ School (NC) where he put up 10.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg and 2.0 bpg in his final season of high school ball.
He’ll look to make his presence felt with his ability to alter shots around the rim and create inside and out with his length at 6-foot-10.
