Small Forward/Wing

Starter – Chris Bell (25 mpg)

Chris Bell was another freshman who made his debut for the Orange this past season. He emerged as an instant starter in the rotation and returns as such heading into a new season. He fared well in the small forward/wing role, putting up 6.6 ppg and 1.8 rpg on 34.5 percent from deep and 40.2 percent from the field.

He returns some experience under his belt and has room to play more minutes and produce on a bigger front heading into his second year. He finished scoring in double figures nine times while knocking down 39 3-pointers in his debut season.

Bench –  Justin Taylor, Chance Westry

Justin Taylor emerges as the leading name on the wing to play the backup small forward/wing role. With more minutes on the table, he’ll likely compete to hold onto the role once again with Chance Westry. Given Taylor holds more bulk at 6-foot-6, he’s more likely to play at the 3-spot. Westry’s got limited production in his time in the SEC so he’ll need to prove himself on the offensive end to show he can contribute on both ends of the floor. Taylor’s ability to knock down shots on the perimeter remains an asset for the Orange.
