Kansas State Wildcats

New coach Jerome Tang had an incredible first year with the Wildcats, taking them to the Elite 8. He recently signed an extension so there’s a good chance he won’t get poached by the time Peterson would arrive. The question will be whether Kansas State is big enough to land five-star talent like him. How they do with the rest of the 2024 class will be a good hint.

Kentucky Wildcats

If you’re a five-star prospect, expect Kentucky and HC John Calipari to be interested in you. There’s no real use in looking at the projected future roster since 99% of the current players won’t be around by the time the 2025 class comes in. One player who may be a 4-year guy is top-30 freshman Reed Sheppard, who may end up as a starter at the two-spot. But that would be the only possible thing to note with the Wildcats, who’ll be after other five-star guards such as Darius Acuff and Meleek Thomas.

Louisville Cardinals

The Cardinals are in a bad place right now with Coach Kenny Payne and he very well might not make it another year. Yet Louisville remains one of the premier NCAA Basketball programs and always will be appealing for top prospects, regardless of who the head coach is. If Peterson takes his time in his recruitment, the Cardinals could still have a chance no matter what.
