Clemson Basketball 2023-24 season outlook

The Clemson Tigers are going to need a “bounce back year” in 2023-24. It is odd saying that term because the Tigers were good last year, they just struggled and lost some games to really bad teams that eventually led to them staying out of the tourney. If Clemson wants to have a successful season they need to make the tournament and that means they probably have to at least be in the top 5 of the ACC standing next season.

The Tigers are bringing back the talent that is needed for a type of season that they need. Brad Brownell is a good coach and it is completely in the cards for Clemson to have a really good season. But they can’t get sloppy and loose to the bottom tier teams of the ACC. If you don’t have signature wins and lose to a couple bad teams you won’t make it to March. It is as simple as that.

It’s hard to see this team failing with the guys they have coming back, but I can also see a future where this Clemson team falls short just like last year. With guys returning like PJ Hall and Chase Hunter, and guys transferring in like Joe Girard and Jake Heidbredder, the Tigers have everything in their arsenal to have a good and successful season in 2023-24. It will just be a matter of putting it all together for Brownell and the Clemson Tigers.
