Ohio State Basketball: Projected starting lineup and depth chart for 2023-24
Center
Starter – Felix Okpara
Felix Okpara is another returning name who made his college basketball debut this past season with the Buckeyes. He’s a 6-foot-11 big man with good potential in the Ohio State frontcourt. He’ll look to utilize his experience from this past season to increase his production in his sophomore season.
Okpara put up 4.0 ppg, 3.6 rpg and 1.0 bpg across 35 appearances (11 starts) in 2022-23. He finished fifth in the Big Ten in blocks (44) and returned an offensive rating of 121.1 and a defensive rating of 100.2 when he was on the floor as a freshman. He’ll look to provide solid defensive support on the interior once again at the starting center role alongside Zed Key in the frontcourt.
Bench – Austin Parks
Austin Parks is another new face with the potential to contribute as a freshman for the Buckeyes’ frontcourt. He’s a 6-foot-10 physically imposing presence at 250 pounds in the painted area who posted 22.4 ppg, 6.5 rpg, 3.2 apg and 1.8 bpg at St. Mary’s Memorial High (OH) before choosing to stay in-state and attend Ohio State.
He’ll be looked upon to provide minutes at the reserve center role in his debut season for the Buckeyes.
