St. John’s Basketball Overall Season Outlook
The St. John’s Red Storm are a completely new team and will likely be a force to be reckoned with in the Big East in 2023-24. Rick Pitino has transformed this roster and will have the Red Storm ready to play some of their best basketball in recent memory. Their new roster and roster revamp is the key for this. Pitino essentially got rid of ten players and brought in ten players. The only question for teams like this is will they be able to gel quick enough to get to wins? I think they will, Pitino teams are known to start fast and with all this talent it’s hard to see them not playing good basketball to start the year.
Rick Pitino was easily the biggest get for St. John’s this season, and the roster and overall excitement around the program proves it. Pitino is one of the best head coaches not only in the NCAA today but all-time in college basketball history. St. John’s will be ready to play in the competitive Big East this season and even though they may not be in the top 3 of the conference, they will be in top 1/3rd of that league this year.
Pitino and the St. John’s Red Storm will be one of the more interesting teams in the country this season. Rick Pitino back in the Big East will have the nation’s attention in the 2023-24 college basketball season and will be a good team to watch in the Big East.
