What a long, strange trip it’s been for the conference of champions. Tragically, the same year that Dead and Company’s touring days come to a close, Bill Walton’s other love, Pac-12 Basketball, will begin their final tour.

And the final season should be a fittingly wild one, with less distance between the top of the conference and everybody else. The veterans of UCLA are gone. Azoulas Tubelis and Kerr Kriisa decided to leave. Even

But there is a slew of new faces in this conference that will provide massive impact on who takes home the final Pac-12 title, most noticeably between Arizona and UCLA. And the youth movement of Colorado and USC should help provide even more fun storylines and reasons to watch.

It will be interesting as well to see what schools moving off to greener pastures which will have to make some uncomfortable decisions on whether their head coach will ride with them on that trail. And how will the final two, Oregon State and Washington State, respond to their situation and pending departure from the power conference dining table.
