12. Steven Ashworth – Creighton Bluejays

2022-23 season stats (at Utah State): 16.2 ppg and 4.5 apg

Ashworth’s breakout junior campaign was able to lead Utah State to the NCAA Tournament last season as one of the more efficient players in NCAA Basketball, shooting 43% from three-point range. He’s now in the Big East, playing for a preseason top-12 team. If his scoring production translates, Ashworth will be on the national radar this year.

11. Jahmir Young – Maryland Terrapins

2022-23 season stats: 15.8 ppg and 3.1 apg

After three years at Charlotte, Young ended up as an All-Big Ten performer last season at Maryland. He was a double-digit scorer in 31 in 35 games, including 30 points against Ohio State. He should be in the mix this year as one of the top point guards in NCAA Basketball, as long as the Terps remain a top-20 team.

10. RJ Davis – UNC Tar Heels

2022-23 season stats: 16.1 ppg and 3.2 apg

Davis was second on the team in scoring last season, including seven games of at least 20 points. He has a chance to produce even more, now that Caleb Love is off to Arizona. UNC has to prove that it’s a top-20 team once again but if that happens and Davis plays a key part of it, he’ll get plenty of accolades.
