Projected Starters

Guard – Joe Toussaint (Senior)

Now landing at his third school in three years, Toussaint spent some time as a starter across three seasons at Iowa before solid play in a bench role at West Virginia last year. He averaged 9.4 points, 2.8 rebounds, and 2.6 assists per game with his best long-range shooting numbers of his career. He’ll slide into the Red Raiders’ lineup in his final collegiate season as their point guard and brings strength and experience to this backcourt.

Guard – Pop Isaacs (Sophomore)

That aforementioned exciting player who has returned, Isaacs was a Top 100 recruit from last season who really started to play like it as a freshman. He averaged 11.5 points and 2.7 assists per game while hitting 38% of his shots from beyond the arc. He’s a very talented shooter and offensive menace who should be even more explosive this season as a sophomore, even in a new system.

Guard – Darrion Williams (Sophomore)

Another new piece for this rotation, Williams comes to Texas Tech after spending his freshman year as a starter at Nevada, putting up 7.6 points, 7.3 rebounds, and 2.4 assists per game. He was an important cog on a Wolf Pack squad that won 22 games. With the Red Raiders, he won’t be leaned on as the vital scorer, but he’ll be in a position to do all the little things to improve those around him.

Forward – Devan Cambridge (Senior)

Fresh off three years at Auburn and a single season starring at Arizona State, Cambridge will spend his final year of eligibility with the Red Raiders. He’s a strong forward coming off his best collegiate season, averaging 9.8 points and 5.4 rebounds as a frontcourt starter for the Sun Devils last season. His athleticism and strength make him a very solid addition for Texas Tech, not to mention his veteran experience.

Forward – Warren Washington (Senior)

Much like Cambridge, Washington comes to the Red Raiders by way of Arizona State, though he previously spent time at Oregon State as a bench piece and Nevada as a starter. Last season he averaged 9.2 points, 6.9 rebounds, and 1.8 blocks per game and will make a similar impact this year at Texas Tech. Standing tall at 7’0, he’ll occupy space and be an impressive presence down low on both sides of the ball, especially as he continues to develop into a great shot blocker.
