Maryland kicks the season off with a meeting between Mount St. Mary’s on Nov. 7 before heading to Asheville for the Asheville Championship where they’ll face Davidson in the opening round. Depending on the outcome, they’ll face UAB/Clemson on Nov. 12.

Their first of two road games will come on Nov. 17 when they’ll head to Villanova. Maryland is just 1-4 all-time against the Wildcats and 0-4 on the road as both teams meet for the first time since 2011.

The Terrapins return home on Nov. 21 to begin a five-game slate that begins with UMBC and ends with Nicholls State on Dec. 19. They’ll have a slight break from their non-conference slate on Dec. 1 and Dec. 6 as they visit Indiana and host Penn State in some early Big Ten regular season action.

Their final road game of the non-conference schedule comes against the UCLA Bruins as they’ll head west to Los Angeles for a primetime matchup. The Terrapins will look to avenge last year’s 87-60 loss and snap a 3-game losing streak in the process in this year’s meeting.

Maryland will close out the non-conference slate at home against Coppin State before returning to regular season conference action in January. The Terrapins will need to overcome last year’s road woes to be successful in 2023-24.  They went just 1-9 on the road while going 10-0 at home during the year and still finished fifth in the standings. If they can turn some of last year’s close road losses into victories this season, look for them to finish in the Top 3 or better.
