No. 8: Juwan Howard, Michigan Wolverines

Juwan Howard was destined to be the Michigan Wolverine head coach at some point and it has worked out quite well for both sides so far.

Juwan Howard was apart of the noted fab five team, and even had an NBA career. He was well known by college basketball fans alike and especially Michigan fans. Howard eventually went on to become the Miami Heat assistant coach where he had a lot of success helping the Heat win the 2014 finals and developing players in his 6 years there. Howard took the Michigan job in 2021 where he has had a 79-48 overall record, and even made an elite 8 and sweet 16 appearance in his 4 years there so far.

The only damper on his resume as a head coach was his first year there where he went 19-12 (covid season), and last season where Michigan went 18-16 and made the 2nd round of the NIT. Michigan definitely underperformed last season, and it was a very disappointing  season for a team that had some good returning players.

Howard looks to get back on track this year, and his future for himself and Michigan looks very bright.
