Big East Basketball: Is UConn, Creighton, or Marquette the best in the league?

Best team in Big East Basketball
The rest of the Big East is all up in the air right now. I won’t go into much detail with them until they prove to be a threat. It’s early into the year so any of those teams could rise in the rankings. If I had to pick a sleeper that could potentially make a run for the Big East title would be St. Johns, although, very unlikely. The only reason I say St. Johns is because of Rick Pitino. Although he had his downfall, he is still a great coach, and we will see what he can do with tN talent he is given.
The Big East is the new ACC in college basketball and the season is going to be exciting to watch. As of now, the favorites to win the Big East are UConn, Marquette, and Creighton. I believe it’ll come down to the Blue Jays or Golden Eagles to take the Big East crown. UConn is great don’t get me wrong, but losing Adama Sanogo and Jordan Hawkins, the roster doesn’t seem as dominant as they did last season. Marquette has the upper hand having most of their lineup return and Creighton also had most of their lineup return AND they made it to the Elite Eight.
If I had to place a bet on who will win the Big East today, I would put my money on Marquette. The main reason I would pick Marquette over Creighton is the strength of schedule. Not to say Creighton can’t beat the big teams, but Marquette has done it. If Creighton had scheduled some tougher matchups, this could be a different story. I guess we will find out when they play each other in a couple of weeks.
Who is your favorite to win the Big East and why? Do you agree or disagree that the Big East is the new ACC for college basketball?
