9) All eyes will be on the Louisville Cardinals!

The college basketball transfer portal has become one of most intriguing tools in the recruiting world over the past few years and this offseason it didn't disappoint. Calfornia welcomes 10 new names while the Louisville Cardinals stole the show with a whopping 12 names following head coach Pat Kelsey to as he takes over on the sidelines. Will there be enough talent for Coach Kelsey and company to contend in the ACC?

It remains to be seen if they contend for now, however, on paper, Coach Kelsey seemingly has the Cardinals on the right track. Chucky Hepburn (Wisconsin) will be tasked with running things at the point guard role and he's got to be excited given they also acquired Terrence Edwards Jr. from James Madison.

Edwards was the 2023-24 Sun Belt Player of the Year after posting 17.2 points, 4.4 rebounds, 3.4 assists on 34.3 percent shooting from 3-point land and 42.7 percent from the floor with the Dukes. He'll look to be an even bigger piece in Louisville's rebuild back to the Promised Land which Coach Kelsey at the helm.

Three other additions who should help things along are Kasean Pryor, Kobe Rogers, and Reyne Smith. Rogers and Smith should help, given they spent this past season under Coach Kelsey at Charleston. Pryor is an intriguing prospect joining Louisville out of South Florida, where he finished with 13.0 points, 7.9 rebounds, 1.8 assists, and 1.2 steals per game across 32 appearances. He's a big guard prospect listed at 6-foot-9 who's shown he can be a presence on the rebounding front and then some.

All eyes will be on the Louisville Cardinals in the early going to see how Coach Kelsey adjusts to his first high-major coaching job. He'll have Hepburn running the show and a few players who can spread/understand his culture as they adjust to the ACC ranks.
