6. Nebraska Cornhuskers - 17-8 (7-7)

The last 11 games for the Cornhuskers have been decided by where the game was played. If it was at home, they won, if it was on the road, they lost. But they weren’t blowouts by all means, with two of the most notable games going to overtime.

At home a couple of weeks ago, Nebraska got an 80-72 victory over Wisconsin, led by 22 points off the bench by C.J. Wilcher, along with 20 points and eight rebounds from Reink Mast. The team followed that up with a near comeback attempt on the road at Illinois, taking it to overtime before losing, 87-84.

In the last two games, the Huskers lost on the road at Northwestern and beat Michigan by 20 points. The final score was 79-59, with Keisei Tominaga leading the way with 19 points. From a resume standpoint, the Cornhuskers are just 1-7 on the road, though they don’t have a bad loss and are 6-8 versus Quad 1/2 foes.

Still in the bubble picture, Nebraska looks to avoid a bad loss, taking on Penn State at home next, with Indiana,  Minnesota, and Ohio State to follow. All of the games on the schedule are winnable, though none will move the needle. They’ll need to find a way to get some of these games on the road or risk not making the Big Dance.
