16. Alabama Crimson Tide - 19-8 (11-3 SEC)

Thanks to some losses from the likes of Kentucky, Tennessee, and South Carolina, Alabama found itself in first place in the SEC entering the week. They also overtook Kentucky as the highest-scoring offense in NCAA Basketball as well, thanks to two straight 100+ point scoring games.

They only got 98 at home against Florida but they needed all of it, as well as five extra minutes. In a game that had multiple runs, the Crimson Tide won by five points, led by Grant Nelson with 22 points, eight rebounds, and six blocks. Aaron Estrada had 20 points, with Mark Sears chipping in with 17 points and eight assists.

The offense was fine for Alabama on Saturday against Kentucky, scoring 95 points. However, it may have been the worst defensive effort a competitive power conference program put up this season, as they allowed a whopping 117 points in a blowout defeat. Rylan Griffen and Sears each had over 20 points but allowing the Wildcats to shoot 63% from the field and 13/24 from deep is just unacceptable.

Still, the Crimson Tide controls its destiny going forward for the SEC title. They have two difficult games this upcoming week, starting with a road battle at a desperate Ole Miss squad, followed by a battle with Tennessee at home in one of the best games of the week overall.
