19. San Diego State Aztecs - 21-7 (10-5 Mountain West)

After two massive home wins against other top teams in the conference, San Diego State went on the road, looking to end up first in the standings. But a road trip at Utah State was always going to be tough. It was a slow-paced game early that picked up in the second half but the Aztecs weren’t able to get ahead, falling 68-63.

Star forward Jaedon Ledee finished with 23 points and six rebounds, but the rest of the starting lineup struggled, combining for 12 points on 5/20 shooting. Reese Waters and Miles Byrd were in double figures off the bench to keep the Aztecs in the game.

San Diego State bounced back this weekly, having no issue, with a struggling Fresno State squad. The final score was 73-41, with LeDee going for 22 points and 11 rebounds, along with 14 points and five rebounds from Jay Pal. The split has them just one game back of first in the Mountain West, one of five teams separated by just one game.

The Aztecs take on San Jose State at home next, a rematch of a previous three-point game earlier in the season. After that is a road battle at UNLV, a team that has not only been surging of late but has a shot at the regular-season title itself.
