6. Tyler Kolek - Marquette Golden Eagles

2023-24 season stats: 15.3 ppg and 7.7 apg

The former Big East Player of the Year who finished first in all of NCAA Basketball in assists this past season also became a quality scorer for the Golden Eagles. If he returns for a 5th year, Marquette will get a third crack at being a Final Four contender as Kolek and Kam Jones will again be one of the top backcourt duos in the country.

5. David Jones - Memphis Tigers

2023-24 season stats: 21.8 ppg and 7.6 rpg

As much as Memphis underachieved this season, Jones proved to be one of the top impact transfers from the portal. He had a trio of 30+ point games, including 36 in a win over Arkansas. The roster for the Tigers is going to change but as they’ve seen, some transfers don’t work out. They already know Jones will and building around him will make the turnaround much easier in 2025.

4. Hunter Dickinson - Kansas Jayhawks

2023-24 season stats: 17.9 ppg and 10.9 rpg

Despite dealing with some injuries, Dickinson still remained one of the best big men in the country this past season, ranking near the top in rebounding. Injuries and a short rotation limited the ceiling for Kansas but if they bring back the star big man for one more year, they’ll be among the preseason favorites to win it all again.
