Linsanity: Jeremy Lin Highlights From His Harvard Days
By Blake Lovell
New York Knicks’ guard Jeremy Lin has pretty much taken over the sports world recently by coming out of nowhere to spark a struggling Knicks team.
Lin put on a show last night at Madison Square Garden, scoring 38 points and adding seven assists in a win over Kobe Bryant and the Los Angeles Lakers.
But even with Lin’s recent performances, there’s plenty of people who don’t know much about Lin or where he came from. Lin is a Harvard graduate and was actually quite the player for the Crimson, averaging 16 points per game as a senior and was a finalist for the Bob Cousy Award.
So while Lin has flown under the radar on the NBA scale to this point, he’s always had game.
For those that only know of Lin’s breakout performances for the Knicks, here’s a look at some impressive highlights of Lin while playing at Harvard:
It’s always great to see players like Lin go from being a college standout that most thought couldn’t make an impact in the league to a player garnering the attention of the entire NBA. These are the types of stories that we love as sports fans, which is certainly why Lin has drawn the type of praise that he’s had recently.
Chances are, even Kobe knows who is now.
