At the end of the 2011 regular season, UConn found itself squarely on the NCAA tournament bubble. The Huskies finished the regular season conference schedule at 9-9 and entered the conference tournament as the nine seed. Then came a dazzling run in Madison Square Garden.

Led by Kemba Walker, the Huskies reeled off five wins in five days. Walker scored 130 points in those five days. Turns out that the Big East tournament was just a preview of things to come for the Huskies. UConn won six more games in a row to win the NCAA tournament championship.
