Blues Still Dancing:

Blue has a chance to be represented in three of the Final Four spots in this years tournament, led by the top seed in the East Region, the Virginia Cavaliers. The Cavs have been one of the least talked about 1-seeds in recent memory and have flown under the radar despite winning the ACC regular season and tournament titles. Another blue contender comes from the same region but not really the same region. We’re talking about the three-time national champion Connecticut Huskies. UConn was feeling blue last season when they were prohibited from postseason play but have come on strong under second-year head coach Kevin Ollie, who enters Friday with an impressive 48-18 record. Both UVa and UConn don the navy blue.

Aforementioned Kentucky, out in the Midwest Region, is another strong representative carrying the blue flag as they prepare for Louisville on Friday looking to prevent the Cards from reaching a third consecutive Elite Eight. Rounding out the blues, in the West Region, is a UCLA Bruins team that sports “true blue” and took home the Pac-12 tournament title. They’ve carried their momentum with them into the second and third round games, winning each by 17 points.

Overall, 12 of the 18 blues (67%) won at least one game in this year’s tournament.
