Green (5 teams, 6-3 record, .667 winning percentage, 2 Sweet Sixteen teams)

Greens Still Dancing:

The green-hot Baylor Bears remained alive after trouncing Creighton, 85-55, in the third round despite being a 4-point underdog. That’s right, a 30-point win as a 4-point underdog. This was after they beat a Nebraska team that many picked to upset the Bears. So, if you’re keeping track, they’ve beaten a red and a blue with a game against another red (Wisconsin) on deck.

According to ESPN’s Who Picked Whom in the Tournament Challenge, this next green was penciled in as the next national champion in 14.6 percent of all brackets. Of course the Michigan State Spartans are, they’re always a threat come tourney time as head coach Tom Izzo looks to lead yet another senior class to the Final Four, as he’s done for every four-year player to play for him.

Four of the five greens recorded a win in the tournament, the lone exception being Manhattan College.

Greens No Longer Dancing:

  • Cal Poly Mustangs
  • Oregon Ducks
  • Manhattan Jaspers
