Russ Smith was one of the most exciting college basketball players over the last two years. It seems only natural then that he goes to play for the Wizards in the NBA. Yes, I know this is a far more competent Washington Wizards organization than say in years past, but having some Russdiculous moments coming off the bench would be great, though.
In all seriousness, Russ Smith could add a spark off the bench for any team in the NBA. That’s provided he doesn’t hurl 30-foot bombs and plays closer to the guy he was his junior year than he was in his last season with Louisville.
There is nothing wrong with a high-volume shooter who can get a team points in a hurry coming off the bench. Washington can certainly use a guy like that, too. — Joe
