  • If you enjoy run and gun basketball, you will definitely want to watch when the Cardinals visit the Tar Heels at Chapel Hill. This game could very well end up being the highest-scoring game of ACC play, if not the entire regular season. Louisville is the new team on the block, but they will look to make a statement against North Carolina. Both teams will want to force turnovers defensively and get out on transition for some easy buckets. There will also be several NBA prospects on the hardwood.

Montrezl Harrell is a man among boys in the paint; his high-motor is his biggest strength. Roy Williams will have to throw various defensive looks at the big man in order to slow down his production. Fortunately for the Tar Heels, they have the size and depth at their front court. This will allow the Tar Heels to play physical in the paint. With so much front court depth, UNC will not have to worry as much about foul trouble.

One match-up to look for is between Marcus Paige and Terry Rozier. Most critics consider Paige to be the ACC Preseason Player of the Year.  He led the team in minutes last season, and that will be the same case for this game. As the designated catalyst for the Tar Heels’ offense, Paige will have to be poised with the basketball. But that is much easier said than done. The Cards are known for their disruptive defense.

All signs points to Rozier guarding Paige. He has great length at his position and he also possesses great explosiveness. It will be interesting to see if Rozier can force Paige to play out of his comfort style of play.
