I figured everyone would take big men first, so I decided to go with the best guard in the country with my first pick of D’Angelo Russell. After that I knew I wanted some versatility with my next few guys, which lead me to Georges Niang and Darrun Hilliard.
By round four, I still didn’t have my big man so I had to snag Trey Lyles, who’s a freak athlete at 6-foot-10. He provides more versatility on defense and someone who can take over a game. I had my last pick narrowed down to Yogi Ferrell and Jakob Poeltl. I could make my team either crazy versatile or crazy big and I went with Ferrell. He and Russell should give other teams fits and I think I have the best guard-tandem in the draft.
