Kansas Jayhawks +1200/120-1 – Bill Self only lost Cliff Alexander and Kelly Oubre from last year’s Jayhawks team that lost to interstate rival Wichita State in the NCAA Tournament’s Round of 32.

However, Self still has plenty of experience coming back on his team led by Perry Ellis and Frank Mason III.
Frank Mason played very well last season starting in all 36 games for the Jayhawks averaging 12.6 points and 3.9 assists shooting 44.1% from the floor and 42.9% from three-point land. He along with Wayne Selden give KU one of the best backcourts in the nation.
Selden for whatever reason has been inconsistent with his play only shooting 38.2% from the floor overall last season. He should be motivated to up his game this year which will make Kansas very formidable.
6-foot-8 forward Perry Ellis led the team in scoring last year averaging 13.8 points and 6.9 rebounds. His life should be made a whole lot easier on the frontline with 6-foot-9 forward Cheick Diallo coming to Lawrence.
If Diallo’s eligibilty issues get straightened out before the season begins, Kansas is going to be in great shape. If he is not eligible that should make the odds a little bit longer on the Jayhawks to take home the gold.
Bill Self is trying to guide this team to the National Championship winner’s circle again with their last championship coming in 2008.
