4. Shooting ability

The team is lights out from behind the arc. They are 14th in the country in total three-point percentage, shooting 39.8 from deep. They can also shoot the ball well from two point range. Virginia Tech shoots 54.1 percent which is 28th best in the country.

The Hokies can hit clutch shots late in the game and have been able to convert late tries multiple times this season. They beat a good Michigan team on the road thanks to multiple late game conversions.

Additionally, they beat Clemson twice this year on three pointers under 10 seconds to play in the game. They also beat Pittsburgh on the road after making a three pointer with just over a minute to play.

Because they aren’t afraid of big pressure situations they can close out games when it matters the most. The team has the ability to spread the ball around and find the best shots available. Come tournament time their ability to hit clutch shots could propel them to late game wins.
