2017 NCAA Women Basketball Tournament: No. 12 Quinnipiac and No. 10 Oregon pull off upsets
No. 1 UConn among the other teams that advance to Sweet 16 with wins
No. 1 Connecticut 94, No. 8 Syracuse 64
The UConn Huskies (34-0) advance to their 24th consecutive Sweet 16 with a 94-64 victory over No. 8 Syracuse (22-11). Kia Nurse made 10-of-13 shots and 9-of-12 attempts from beyond the arc to finish with 29 points and six assists to pace the Huskies. Katie Lou Samuelson and Gabby Williams each kicked in 23 points while Napheesa Collier contributed 17 points and seven rebounds.
Alexis Peterson had 25 to lead Syracuse. Brittney Sykes added 15 points, and Briana Day added 13 for the Orange.
No. 1 Baylor 86, No. 9 California 46
The Baylor Bears (32-3) followed up their 89-point first round victory with a 40-point shellacking of No. 9 California Golden Bears (20-14). Alexis Prince and Nina Davis combined for 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 11 assists to lead Baylor. 11 of the 12 Bears who appeared in the game scored. Baylor recorded 28 assists on 34 made baskets.
Baylor outscored California by double-digits in three out of four quarters, the lone exception being the first quarter. Kristine Anigwe had 20 points and 11 rebounds to lead the way for the Golden Bears.
No. 3 Washington 108, No. 6 Oklahoma 82
Kelsey Plum became the NCAA single-season leading scorer as she dumped in 38 points to lead No. 3 Washington Huskies (29-5) over No. 6 Oklahoma Sooners (23-10). Plum now has 1,050 points on the season. The Huskies advance to the Sweet 16 for the second consecutive year for the first time in program history.
No. 2 Stanford 69, No. 7 Kansas State 47
The Stanford Cardinal (30-5) are in the Sweet 16 for the 10th straight year as Brittany McPhee had 21 points, seven assists, and five assists.
No. 4 Louisville 75, No. 5 Tennessee 64
Mariya Moore knocked down 7-of-10 shots and was 5-of-5 from beyond the arc to finish with 19 points to help the fourth-seed Louisville Cardinals (29-7) stave off the fifth-seed Tennessee Volunteers (20-12) 75-64. Asia Durr led the way for the Cardinals with 23 points to become the 28th player in Louisville history to top the 1,000 point mark.

No. 4 UCLA 74, No. 5 Texas A&M 43
The No. 4 UCLA Bruins (25-8) routed No.5 Texas A&M Aggies (22-12) 74-43. Kari Korver was 7-of-10 from the field, all three-pointers, and finished with a game-high 21 points.
