5. Miami (Ohio) Redhawks

The Miami Redhawks have struggled this decade after being one of the top programs in the MAC until the mid-2000s. Miami dismissed coach John Cooper after he went just 59-100 including 29-59 in conference play. Cooper did not win more than 13 games or eight conference games in any season.

Miami has earned 17 overall NCAA Tournament berths, though none since 2007. The Redhawks have also claimed 20 regular season conference crowns and been to the postseason eight other times — NIT (6) and CBI (2). 2011 was the last time the Redhawks have participated in the postseason.

Miami went 11-21 in 2016-17 and finished 12th in conference play.
