ACC Basketball: Breaking down the 2017 Recruiting Classes

Duke Blue Devils
What do you say about Duke that is not known by everyone? Duke is a national title contender this year, just like they are every year. The Blue Devils put a product on the floor that is loaded with talented players from all over the country. Coach K continues to prove why he is the best all-around coach in basketball, at any level. Don’t get to attached to these Duke freshman because they will only be in college for one year.
Trevon Duval: The best point guard in the class committed to the best school that needed a point guard. The lack of a true ball handler and distributor may have cost Duke a chance to play for the National Title last year, but it will not this time. Trevon attended IMG Academy in Florida last year, where he put up eye popping numbers. Duval is a very athletic kid and can pass, shoot, and defend. He will be fun to watch.
Florida State Seminoles
Over the past few seasons, Leonard Hamilton has built the Seminoles into a contender in the ACC. Last year’s NCAA tournament appearance should become more of the norm in Tallahassee. Coach Hamilton just keeps reloading as his players pack up and move on to the NBA.
M.J. Walker: This McDonalds All-American chose to play basketball in college over football. Walker seems to always be in constant attack mode and is the best transition scorer in the entire class. He can shoot at all levels, but his mid-range game is top-notch. He needs to be more consistent from the 3-point line, but with his quick, explosive bursts, he can get to the rim and likes to finish through contact.
