North Dakota State Bison – Paul Miller

16.7 PPG, 5.2 RPG, 1.8 APG

North Dakota State is one of the best teams in the Summit League, and the Bison finish near the top of the league standings every year. To have a player like Miller who plays his best basketball against the other top teams in the league is quite the luxury to have. In Summit conference games last year, Miller averaged 19.3 ppg and shot 42% from three in the league.

Miller also holds multiple 30-point scoring games. Miller made over 70 threes last year. Paul Miller is the engine that makes the North Dakota State Bison go. He will be a senior this season and it will be more of the same, as the Bison look to be one of the stronger teams in this league yet again.

Omaha Mavericks – Mitch Hahn

11.7 PPG, 4.3 RPG, 0.7 APG

Omaha lost a lot of talent from last year’s roster. Some of the talented kids on their roster transferred and a lot of the talent graduated. As Omaha tries to replace a lot of key pieces off of last year’s Summit League Tournament runner-ups, Mitch Hahn will be a key piece to that. Hahn only started one game last year for Omaha, but the Holy Cross transfer has the skills to be a decent post player in this league.

He is good at drawing fouls and is also an excellent foul shooter.  Omaha had a prolific offense last year. With all of the roster turnover, at least on paper, it does not appear Omaha will be able to replicate that success, but only time will tell.
