Oral Roberts Golden Eagles – Albert Owens

17.4 PPG, 5.6 RPG, 1.2 BPG

Owens is one of the best post players in the Summit League and maybe one of the best post players in Oral Roberts basketball history.  Oral Roberts basketball has not been very good or competitive for a while now, but Owens sure does make his presence known when he is on the floor. Owens has over 100 career blocks.

When he is not scoring, he still strikes fear into opposing offenses with his shot-blocking prowess.  Oral Roberts probably won’t be very good this year, but watching Albert Owens play is always fun.

South Dakota Coyotes – Matt Mooney

18.6 PPG, 4.5 RPG, 2.1 APG

The Coyotes were the regular season champion in the Summit League last year. South Dakota and coach Craig Smith have shown they are not afraid to schedule anyone. Smith owns a victory at Minnesota and the Coyotes gave Nebraska all they could handle last year. With a player like Matt Mooney on board, you can many different things on offense. Mooney ranked in the top-75 nationally last year in both steals per game and points per game.

Mooney scored 20+ points in 16 games last year.  Mooney is one of the very best scorers in the country and he plays for a good team who runs the offense around him. Mooney is a fun kid to watch. The Air Force transfer looks like he made the right decision to play at South Dakota.
