Nevada vs. Cincinnati (Round of 32)

March Madness is all about the most unexpected results happening at the least expected times. This is exactly what was the case in the second round matchup on the final day of the first weekend between seventh seeded Nevada and second seeded Cincinnati.

Scoring the first ten points of the contest and leading by double digits throughout more than half of the game, the Bearcats appeared to be in control and to be cruising through the first weekend of the tournament.

But a momentum shift in the second half after Nevada trailed by as many as 22 points changed the complexion of the game entirely and gave the Wolf Pack the confidence to come all the way back. Nevada had already needed to come back from a 14 point deficit against Texas in the first round, a game that went to overtime. The Wolf Pack were no strangers to huge second halves.

Cody Martin led all scorers with 25 points and made key plays down the stretch on both ends of the floor to lift Nevada. This game featured the largest comeback of this tournament and with top seeded Virginia already gone, helped pave the way for the Cinderella of the tournament, the Loyola Ramblers. Besides all this, it was also a thrilling game to watch, a game that had it all.
