THEO PINSON. B+. Senior, 10.3 points, 6.5 rebounds, 5.1 assists. Guard. North Carolina Tar Heels

Theo Pinson: He did just about everything you could’ve asked for in a senior forward. The production slowly went up throughout the years at North Carolina. He only started one game his freshman year, but he was clearly a nice rebounder. Pinson never started more than 13 games in three seasons. He played in every game this year and started all 37.

Pinson was ready for the role. He likes running the point position and it showed. Pinson averaged over 5 assists per game. When Berry wasn’t performing at as high of a level as expected, the other regular senior knew it was time for him to step it up. He enjoyed the expanded role and North Carolina found their winning ways again.

Theo Pinson was the player who helped North Carolina get over one last hurdle at the end of the regular season. When things weren’t the best, this senior took it upon himself to carry the team. He looked very impressive in the ACC Tournament. Miami and Duke left bad tastes in his mouth at the end of the regular season. He helped the Tar Heels defeat both.

He was a fun interviewer at the end of games during the ACC Tournament and he was exciting to watch. Pinson certainly had a senior season to remember. Even though this season didn’t result in going the distance, he did get to go to two National Championship prior and win won. Pinson will definitely be looked at as one of the main reasons why the Tar Heels were so successful this year.
