Nevada Wolf Pack

This team has always been in the running for Brown but never has been considered a “favorite” during the process. But all things considered, this could be the perfect destination for the coveted power forward.

The Wolf Pack went to the Sweet Sixteen, all while not having a player listed over 6’7. Head coach Eric Musselman and the staff aimed to change that, bringing in a pair of forward recruits, as well as a solid grad transfer in Trey Porter from Old Dominion.

Next season could be a historic year for the program, with the Wolf Pack being projected as a preseason top-10 team. That of course, depends on whether both Caleb and Cody Martin returns, as well as Jordan Caroline. The trio combined for over 50 ppg, 20 rpg, and 10 apg.

Even with a full roster, Brown would still find plenty of playing time for next season and would become the featured player for the team the year after if he remains in college.

From a winning standpoint, there’s no question that Nevada is the best option. And even with Porter coming aboard, he still will be on the court for a good period of time. The big question is whether or not conference affiliation will be a big factor in his decision.

The Mountain West had a McDonald’s All-American last season in Brandon McCoy with UNLV. It could very well be two years in a row if Brown decides to come to Reno. A decision could be coming soon, one that will have a huge impact on the basketball play in the western part of the United States.
