5. Deng Adel, Louisville

The Louisville Cardinals have been set in the midst of a scandal the past few seasons so it’s no surprise Louisville forward Deng Adel is on the outside looking in at the NBA Draft Combine.

Adel, a native of Australia, had quite the career in his three years with the Cardinals. He was named an All-ACC Honorable Mention selection after this season, averaging 15.0 points, 5.2 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game. He’s got tons of length and athleticism on the wing and is quite efficient from behind the arc. In 2017-18, he was 35 percent from 3-point range and 44.8 percent from the floor.

The Cardinals went 22-14 in 2017-18 as he was the team’s leading scorer. Adel finished his career just two points shy of surpassing 1,000 points.

Despite not getting a combine invite, Adel is still making waves in his workouts. Recently, he had a workout with the Minnesota Timberwolves. Sources have reported that that workout went “very well.” So it seems the lack of an invite has effected Adel very little.
